Accepting Applications for Board of Directors

The Delaware Soccer Club is currently accepting applications to join our Board of Directors. The position offers the opportunity to play an active role in the management and continued growth of the club. Directors are elected for three year terms and are expected to attend monthly meetings (currently the evening of the second Tuesday of each month) and other special events as necessary. 

If you are interested in the volunteer position, please download the application and forward to our office, at office@delawaresoccerclub.com or via mail to 1424 Hertel Ave. Buffalo, NY 14216. We will follow-up with more details and to set up a meeting to discuss. The Board will then vote to determine election. 

Delaware Soccer Club is a not-for-profit organization with the mission to promote the development of youth in our community through participation in athletic competition. Our goal is to provide activities that offer recreational, social and physical development for children of all skill levels. We are committed to providing participants with the opportunity to develop athletically and personally in a positive, supportive and safe environment. Delaware Soccer Club encourages and promotes ethical and moral behavior, good sportsmanship, community involvement and good citizenship.

Frank Callocchia - Frank C. Callocchia is a local attorney and a member of Callocchia Law Firm, PLLC.  He has been a member of the Delaware Soccer Club Board of Directors since 2016.  He holds a USSF “D” Coaching License and has been involved as a volunteer coach with DSC for several years.  He has played and coached soccer at the youth and amateur club level as well as the collegiate level.  Mr. Callocchia presently chairs the DSC adult soccer programs committee, overseeing the adult in-house winter indoor league.

Brendon Dickman - Brendon Dickman began playing for the Delaware Soccer Club in elementary school and played for the club through high school.  He currently resides in Snyder, NY with his wife and two children, both of whom play for DSC.  He has coached nearly 10 years for DSC and is currently serving as as VP of the DSC Travel Program.

Ethan Kirisits - A teacher for more than 25 years, Ethan Kirisits joins the DSC Board having coached numerous years in both the House and Travel programs. He has served on multiple committees at Transit Middle School, including the Shared Decision Making Committee and Safety Committee, while also serving as a Senior building representative for the Williamsville Teachers Association. While teaching, coaching and organizing an annual student trip to Washington D.C., Ethan can be seen competing in the local men's soccer leagues, including the BDSL and at Sahlen's Sports Park.

Lester Lachuk - Shortly after moving to Buffalo from Madison, WI, Lester Lachuk joined the DSC Board of Directors, bringing wth him tremendous work experience, including Vice President, Pharmacy, for Blue Cross Blue Shield of WNY. He has earned a Doctorate in Pharmacy and an M.B.A., while holding multiple volunteer positions along the way. His passion for soccer stretches to both his young daughter and son who currently participate in multiple DSC programs.

Joelle Leclaire - Joelle Leclaire fittingly joins the DSC Finance Committee, as she currently serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Economics and Finance at Buffalo State. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics and Social Science, is a member of numerous economic associations and has edited and authored multiple books and articles on the subject.

Kate Mayhook - Kate Mayhook has been actively involved with DSC for many years as both a House League Coach and Travel Team Manager for both her children's many DSC teams, while serving as the Head Women's Lacrosse Coach for DYouville College.

Dotty Mayle - Dotty Mayle currently teaches 4th grade in the Frontier Central School District, while also running her own business, Oh Goodie!, creating custom goodie bags and gift baskets. She is active throughout the Buffalo community and assists DSC in all it marketing and social media efforts.

Marrisa McCormack - McCormack serves as a CAD/CAM Specialist with Patterson Dental, while also having volunteered at St. Mark Elementary School, Amherst Middle School, and the AMA’s annual Give a Kid a Smile Program. Marissa is deeply rooted within the WNY community, including within DSC, as her son has played numerous seasons since 2012, and currently competes within the DSC Travel Program.

Jaime Salcedo - Jaime Salcedo is a current auditor with Deloitte & Touche LLP. Prior to his career at Deloitte, Jaime graduated with a master’s degree in accounting from Medaille College in 2016, where he also played on the varsity soccer team for 4 years. As a native soccer player from Akron, NY, Jaime joins our board in the hopes of further advancing DSC and the game of soccer within the Western New York Region.

Rich Scherer, Jr. - Rich Scherer Jr. is a partner at the law firm of Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman LLP where he concentrates his practice on commercial litigation and general business counseling. Rich and his wife Megan reside in North Buffalo with their son Richie, who plays U4 house with DSC. 

Garrett Timms - Garrett Timms joined the DSC Board in 2015 and has handled the role of VP of the House Program, while coaching numerous seasons and multiple teams in both the House and Travel programs. He brings a strong sports medicine and exercise science background.

Jennifer Yund - Jennifer Yund, a teacher for over 20 years, has been involved with soccer for even longer as a player and coach. She brings grant writing experience along with experience on numerous committees, including Shared Decision Making, APPR, Sunshine Club, DASA and the National Technical Honor Society.

DELAWARE SOCCER CLUB STAFF

Manager of Delaware Soccer Club: Andy Siviy - Andy is our new DSC Club Manager and he is very excited to join us. Originally from Rochester, NY, Andy has been in Buffalo since 2013 and has been coaching in the area since 2015. Over the past 7 years, Andy has coached at both local youth clubs and the college level at both Buffalo State and Canisius College. 

Director of Travel: Asani Samuels - Samuels' background includes four years of Division I soccer, including three Regional All-American Honors and the Canisius Male Athlete of the Year Award. He competed for multiple years of professional soccer, earning the USL Finals MVP Award after leading the Rochester Rhinos to the 2015 USL Championship. He has coached many different levels at various clubs and has been a valuable presence on the DSC sidelines for nearly 10 years.

Director of House: Francesco Cardillo - Cardillo joined DSC in the fall of 2022, bringing with him a wealth of soccer experience, while also serving as the current Head Coach of the Men's Soccer Program at Buffalo State College. Along with coaching more than six years of collegiate soccer, he was a stand-out player for the Bengals earning All-SUNYAC honors in both years after transferring from SUNY Canton.
