Risk Management Process

All head coaches, assistant coaches, and team managers are required to complete the risk management process for the travel season. Keep in mind that rosters cannot be submitted for approval, player cards cannot be printed, and teams cannot begin playing until you have completed these steps. Instructions on how to complete this are provided below.

🛑Before Starting...

Before you start the risk management process, please:

  • 1. Confirm GotSport Login

    All requirements are listed in your GotSport account dashboard. If you are unsure of your login, you may  reset your password to your account by clicking the "forgot password" button at the login screen.

  • 2. Check Legal Name

    All staff must use their full legal name before starting any of the below requirements. Please make sure to update your name in your GotSport account and use your legal name for all of the below requirements.

  • 3. Check Records

    For SafeSport and Background checks, there is a button to CHECK RECORDS. Please make sure to click this button to see if the system already has you accounted for. 

✅Start RM Process

Follow these instructions to complete the risk management process:

  • 1. Complete SafeSport Training

    ALL coaches/team officials over the age of 18 MUST complete SafeSport training or the annual refresher course (completed within the coach profile/dashboard in GotSport). Instructions can be found HERE.

  • 2. Complete Background Check

    ALL coaches/team officials MUST have a completed background check in GotSport Instructions can be found HERE.


    ⭐IMPORTANT: DO NOT PAY FOR THIS! DSC covers the cost for coaches, and you shuold have already been eamiled a code that will waive the fee for you. If you are not able to locate the code, please contact Tom Karanas (information below).

  • 3. Upload Photo

    All coaches/team officials must upload an acceptable photo into their account settings.
