DSC Coaching staff

Delaware Soccer Club has assembled some of the top soccer coaches in the region to oversee all of our soccer programming. Together the group brings a tremendous amount of high-level experience as both players and coaches at the club, college, and professional levels.

Their combined knowledge of the game and the latest coaching methods and philosophies provides DSC members with the highest-quality soccer programming. Perhaps most importantly, they all deeply believe in the DSC mission to develop the youth of our community in an inclusive and positive environment.

Aitor Fuentes

I was born and raised in a small town outside Barcelona called Vic. I spent 15 years with my hometown team, as player for the most part, but also as an in-house referee and club secretary.

After I finished college with my degree in Translation and Interpreting, I moved to France to be a Spanish teacher. From there, I can to Buffalo to coach youth soccer during the summer. What was supposed to be a three month trial ended up shaping my life in a way I never expected. I fell in love with the city and after I met my to-be wife, decided to stay here.

In the soccer field, I have coached every age group imaginable, from 2 years old to varsity players, across many clubs and schools. I have been blessed to know many, many soccer families and friends along the way and it has massively helped me improve the way I coach soccer.

This will be my third year with Delaware Soccer Club, an organization that I always regarded as the heart of soccer in Buffalo. It has been an unbelievable experience, and I am thrilled to see the club has entrusted me to help teach players, parents, and everyone else, everything soccer is about.

Off the soccer field, I'll be starting my fifth year as the ESL teacher at Health Sciences in Buffalo, as well as their soccer coach in our combined team with Tapestry.
